The Creative Design Lab
is a highly equipped computer lab located in the basement floor of the Belk Library at Appalachian State. As a Technology Desk supervisor, I was approached by staff to reinvent the lab’s visuals. The goal of this project was to create a brand guidelines for the space, redeisgn room icons, and create a series of posters to advertise the computer lab’s functionalities.

Starting from scratch with the main logo, I created a series of hand-drawn SVG assets to work with. Using my own drawings as. a starting point, I dressed them with abstract shapes to combine technological precision and analog art. A saturated RYB+Lime color palette seemed appropriate for the theme, expressing streamlined creativity.

The final products included:

  • Signage for Audio and Studio recording rooms
  • Four logos (knock-out and color)
  • Six posters
  • Mockups
  • Brand deck
